FAQ

1) How do I purchase tickets?

There are 2 routes that you can choose to take to register your child for this arts festival. 

 

Option 1: You can email your information to Aqram@therice.sg and payment process will be handled from there via cash or credit card. No admin charges.

 

Option 2: You can also get your festival tickets through "peatix".

Administration charges applies.

 

2) Is Lunch Provided? 

No. Lunch is not provided. Your child will be given a 1 hour lunch break from 1.45pm-2.45pm. You are strongly advised to pick your child up and eat along the heart of orchard. OR You could also give your child $10 to eat himself/herself at our very own in house cafe- Happy Pancakes.

 

3) Is the cafe halal?

No Pork or Lard is served in the cafe. 

 

4) What makes this Festival unique?

This festival is organized solely by passionate youth artistes for children. The youths are interested to engage and allow children to experience all forms of arts. 

 

5) What forms of art will my child experience?

They are Dance, Visual Arts, Theatre & Music.

 

6) Can I accompany my child during the festival?

Unfortunately, No. Don't worry! Your children are in safe hands. It's vital for children to be in an all child enviroment as we are strong advocates of peer-assistant learning. Also, our youths will be taking very good care of your child throughout this festival. 

 

7) What am I paying for?

 As we are an NPO, all fees goes back to the operations of the festival. The profits that we are taking is only the enjoyment of your child.

 

8) Can I leave my child at the festival and come back when it ends?

Yes. Very strongly advised to do so. Why? You as parents deserve to take a break and enjoy orchard road. 

 

9) What is 10 SQUARE?

10sq is a multidiscplinary arts space dedicated to young people. It aims to promote the development of talent in arts and culture among the youth in Singapore through training, mentoring, multiple performance platforms and opportunities to network with like-minded artist through local and international workshops and conferences. 

One of the core programmes offered at the Academy is the Arts Incubation Programme for youth between 13 to 19 years of age. It aims to empower youth, regardless of their socio-economic background, and harness their talents in the arts to transform and make a difference to their own lives and the community. 

Through its programmes,10sq hopes to foster greater engagement and collaboration within the arts community and be the voice of young people in the arts.

 

10) What does my child bring?

Please note: The festival team will not be liable for any losses of items.  

 

Do bring:

1) Food for lunch or money to purchase lunch (If not purchasing)

2) Waterbottle

3) Attire-Wear comfortable clothes

4) Cash ($10 sufficient)

5) Medication 

 

Don't bring:

1) Bulky things (Pack light)

2) Valuable items

3) No dresses & revealing clothes as activities will require movements. 

4) Handhones or electronic items

 

11) Where can I park?

Orchard Central has sufficient parking lots. We are located on the 10th floor!

 

12) What time does my child report?
